I DID IT (!!!!!!!!!!!) Now for the CLEP

I just finished the spanish tree for the first time. I've been studying duolingo + spanish hour + the REA CLEP prep book + any quizes and games I've been able to find online + Netflix in spanish.

Now I need to pass the CLEP test so that I can officially graduate from college. Wish me luck!

Oooooooh good luck!! Loved the CLEP test! I got 12 hours of credit from it! I went in there totally convinced I would fail and passed with flying colors. I hope you go in there feeling confident and also passing with flying colors!!! Remember to take notes during the listening portion, it was a huge help for me lol. I didn't even think of it before I got in there and they handed me a sheet of paper and a pencil in front of my computer.

Did you have much previous experience before you started preparing for the test? How did you prepare?

I've been learning at my high school for 3 years. I went straight through the REA (I think that was it? It's blue and pretty right?) CLEP book answering all the practices and then making sure I understood all the answers, then took the practice tests for it online (the practice tests on there totally threw me off about the real test since on those practices you can like replay the audio and stuff but you can't do that on the test lol. plus they score the practice ones really weird), checked out the reviews for that book on Amazon to see how it worked for everybody else, then drew some conclusions. I also have the official CLEP book, and I didn't really practice out of it, but I did skim it the day before to refresh myself and see what the test might actually be like. I also did a ton of watching Netflix in Spanish and music in Spanish to aid my listening skills, which helped a ton.

CLEP is a great way to get relatively inexpensive credits. Much more demanding than Duo, though. ;) Work on your listening skills!

I'm in junior high and I don't know what the CLEP test is. What does it stand for? How long does it take to finish, or do you get only 4 hours like STAAR?
