Weekly Incubator Update: Tracking Progress from Jun 21st to Jun 28th
Three leaders this week!
There are three courses who have claimed to become the Leaders extraordinaire spot. However, the average has fallen below 'one'. As expected the median has also fallen to 'zero'. Let's hope to see a more uniform progress this week. The summer is still on. Right? :)

* This week's Leaders Extraordinaire!
^ The Hungarian & Hindi teams' progress is as per their own calculation.
Here's what the contributing teams have said during the last week:
19% and counting...
Firstly, we're at 19%! Whoo! Not long now till we hit the big 20:) We're also nearing the completion of the second checkpoint, we have a couple of skills to finish and a handful to check over before we get there.
We've also spent the last few weeks combing the applications for new contributors (believe me, I've read every single one and there are ~1000 of them) and we've asked 3 shiny, keen, experienced people to help us continue the course for now and they have all gladly accepted:) We still have 19 other people on our shortlist for later on, so don't despair if you did apply and haven't heard back. I am anticipating great chaos when they finally join us until everything settles down and things get going faster - imagine if we had 1000 people on the team!!
We'll announce them in due course once everything is official, please make them feel welcome:) Contributor or not, all of you are valuable members of the Duolingo Hebrew community and your help and support is much appreciated.
See you on the other side of 20%!

A l'estiu, tota cuca viu
Week 03: 14% complete, beta launch 23-Nov-2015
Thanks to the several Duolingoers who have expressed interest in alpha testing our course. While we see the importance of early user testing, neither our team nor Duolingo has a formal alpha test program, a program similar to the beta testing done during the beta phase. We have been conducting adhoc alpha tests with a few native English speakers and will soon formulate and communicate our alpha test strategy.
This week even as our progress number shows only 2%, we have made a few major advancements. The predicted beta launch remains at 23rd November, 2015.
Please feel free to follow us on twitter @DuoHindi.
TL;DR Slightly slower progress this week - Average 0.74%, Median 0%.
The next update is expected on Sunday, 5th of July, 3:00 pm UTC.
Previous Update 14-Jun to 21-Jun
They have progressed to 45% as of now. The numbers posted on the WIU are as of Sunday zero hours UTC as usual.
We are not going to share our throne with the two other teams like this week anymore :v
I'm glad to see Yiddish making so much progress and hoping everything is well with Catalan.
Not as much progress overall this week, but a three courses at +3% is still exciting! German for French seems to be the course making the most steady progress this past month. Go, German for French! And, of course, everyone else! Russian is soooooo close!
Thanks, as always, for doing this, jitengore!
Welcome the new contributors
Qutuz, Latif, Mohammad and Ghinwa are the most recent members of the Arabic Team, welcome them here . We've started this discussion to practice writing in English.
We also wanted to share with you the progress of the course, we're close!
We also thank the 200 thousand Arabs who are taking this course, your reports strengthen our course! Keep up the good work!
As soon as the original course (English from Arabic) is out of Beta, the preparations for the reverse course will start.
Do you know if harakat will be used? Or will learners just use the TTS to learn the pronunciation? I don't know how easy it would be, but having the system use the harakat the first 1 or 2 times a learner sees a word and then removing them in all other appearances in the course could be a good technique for learning to read words, could it not? (By "removing the harakat" I just mean replacing the word with harakat with the word without it. Although I guess of course, this would require a lot more work from the team.)
I understand, but it's been awfully long. Do you think the beta stage will be over soon?
And I too might need some help with indenting the lines which have both Arabic and non-Arabic characters :)
So, what's going on with Klingon? It hasn't progressed for a few weeks now. I know the course is not nearly as much anticipated as some of the others, but I admit I was sort of looking forward to it...
loghaD had exams and is out of town currently. I believe he's getting back into it next week. I don't know what the deal with the other guy is but could be a similar situation.
Ok, that's good to hear. It's completely understandable that contributors often have more imporant things to do, and it's absolutely wonderful that so many people on Duolingo spend so much of their free time on creating these courses. I'm just relieved the Klingon course hasn't been completely abandoned, and will progress in the future.
Thanks for the info! Qapla'! (I really need to expand my vocabulary beyond that word...)
I'm happy for team Vietnamese's progress, great job!
Thank you for your dedication! Cảm ơn bạn đã cống hiến của bạn !
Do you mind if I correct the Vietnamese part :P, it should be Cảm ơn bạn đã cống hiến or Cảm ơn bạn vì sự cống hiến (của bạn - optional but better omitted to avoid repetition)
Does the star in the graphic mean this week's leader? If does, this week's leaders are Vietnamese, Hebrew and German for French, not Hindi.
Yay for Asian courses! Speaking of, anybody know when we can expect a Mandarin/Chinese for English course in the incubator? Learning from family members isn't panning out for me...
