I think I would prefer either "Kiu kuris ĉe la maratono?" (=kiu partoprenis) or simply "Kiu kuris la maratonon?".

I would understand "en la maratono" as "inside the marathon" which causes a little difficulty.

    Is this to be understood that I didn't necessarily complete the run? If the sentence were mi kuris la maratonon, it would be clear that I had completed, but this leaves that open.
