TV series in spanish

Hello people I'm studying Spanish here on Duolingo and it's great!!! I feel that I've reached the level of understanding most of what I listen to... and I want to start watching a TV series in Spanish so I can keep improving and also enjoy :P (watching TV series in English is what helped me the most with that language, I want to do the same in Spanish...) Searching google didn't give me any real result, and I know there have been some discussions on the subject here but I couldn't find them... So, does anyone have recommendations?? Comedy, drama, suspense, I like it all!! Thank you very much!!

For Spanish (i.e from Spain) series, try this:

Many come with subtitles and transcripts, which is super useful for learning.

This FluentU post has some suggestions. I've been watching Velvet, it's not bad. I've been watching it mostly with the Spanish captions on, pausing if I need to review the caption more carefully. Sometimes I'll back up and re-watch a scene with the English subtitles. But the plot is somewhat clichéd and predictable, so that helps with comprehension!

If you're a Breaking Bad fan, you'll definitely want to check out the Colombian remake, Metástasis. And Doctor Who fans might like El Ministerio de Tiempo. Both of these are suggested in the Fluent U article, but only Metástasis is on Netflix. The above RTVE.es link has El Ministerio del Tiempo: aqui.

There's also Destinos, a mystery show made for Spanish learners. It has lots of helpful structure.

If you have access to Mango Languages via your library, they offer movies as well. Only a few, but two are nature documentaries!

Awesome, I can't believe I missed Metástasis on Netflix. I had only found the last few episodes before. Have some lingots.

As far as my thoughts for TheDanielle , I like Los Hombres de Paco on Hulu and if you like HGTV, SOS Salva Mi Casa on Telemundo. If you don't have Netflix, the first season of Grand Hotel mentioned by no.name.42 is available on Hulu too (free).

I'm still trying to put together a list by country, but here are some links to make your search easier:

I also picked up these two books, The Telenovella Method and Listen 'n' Learn Spanish with Your Favorite Movies. The second book has 600 core vocabulary, then by chapter vocab for a dozen or so movies and right now it's just .08 cents used.

You can also check out https://Lingopie.com/learnspanish. There are 100's of hours of Spanish TV shows with Spanish subtitles. If you don't know a word, you can just click on that word in the subtitle, and you get an instant translation into english. Also all the words are saved to your words list so you can review them later.
