Books and Music in Spanish.... "also tell me yours"!
Hey there, first of all, let's talk about Literature, (my favorite topic in the world), as you learn Spanish, I'm pretty sure you would like to relate the language with your life. So, let me show you my favorite books!
Uhm, i know you know this one, The Ingenious Gentleman Don Quixote of La Mancha. here you will find a man, well the truth it is about is an older man (fifty years old), Alonso Quixano liked to read chivalry books, and with time, he leaved the reality, according to me, he only began to be happy, although somewhat late. In this book you will find a passionate, adventurer, lonely and crazy Alonso. But the best part is his love for Dulcinea.
In the other hand, The Tunnel is a novel from the Argentinian Ernesto Sabato, here you will find a very rational painter who ends up making an irrationality, yes!, is the only rational painter, so forget about subjective in this book, because you won't stop reading bacuse of the way he thinks everything. His jealousy and his obsession with Maria eventually make this work one of the best tragedies that you'll have read in the world.
Uhmm, now a little poetry.... and Pablo Neruda is the best option: for me his best work is "Twenty Love Poems and a Song of Despair". in these 20 poems you will find all sorts of feelings and emotions!
So, romance, tragedy, poems, adventure.... I'm a whole "romancero"! I hope you you enjoy them.
Well, now let's talk about music. I don't know you, but I always sleep with my headphones on, and not I am not deaf yet!
You can not sing in Spanish if you don't do it with the famous song from Pablo Alborán: "Solamente tú", don't worry, it's a slow song, or rather a completely slow song, i love it, but it is not my better one!
Uhmm, Now i suppose you like Latino-American Music, (i hope other Latinos read this post), and here you have a vast number of songs and genres, so, let's try to say some:
•"Coleccionista de canciones" from Camila.
•"Vivir la vida" from Mark Mantony, ohh, yes, it is a Salsa. Who does not like Salsa?
•"Propuesta indesente" from Romeo Santos is the best Bachata you will listen in your live. Deffinitely Caribbeans genres are the best one!
•In Merengue we have "Jesus me dijo" from Juan Luis Guerra, but i don't know if you would like this one.
•Ohh, The Spanish Guitar sure you will like!
• Jvalkin is actually having a big success these days, and his better hit is "ay vamos". Enjoy it!
Wellllll, that's all, and if you think I forgot any thing please let me know it! i also would like to know, how have been your experience with Book and Spanish music! I'll be pretty glad to reply you back with my opinion!
I liker to read religious books mainly the scriptures. I have a bilingual app
My Spanish music is funky, porta, redimi2, propiedad de dios, Jonah esteban...
Did you listen to the original song C'est La Vie by Khaled? It's bilingual in Arabic and French. While I enjoy Marc Anthony's version, the original is really festive.
¡De nada! Like you, I really like "Don Quixote". For me, it's the best Spanish novel ever! But I've just read its Vietnamese version, not the Spanish origin. Wish someday I could read it in Spanish fluently.
Wow, I don't anything about Vietnamese language! but something sure is it is pretty difficult for me!
Many people told me that, too. But it's a beautiful language. I'm sure that when you could speak it fluently, you would fall deeply in love with it (maybe forever ^^).
Song: "Mi Verdad" by Shakira and Mana. Novel: "El Príncipe De La Niebla" by Carlos Ruiz Zafón.
