Mi skribis "mi volas fini laboras", ĉu estas prava?

Ne, se vi volas uzi verbon, vi devas diri: Mi volas fini labori. Sed en ĉi tiu frazo oni devas traduki "the work" do oni devas skribi la laboron.

Mi pensas, ke "la" ne necesas.

Using or omitting the "the" in "I want to finish (the) work" changes the meaning of the sentence in English.

I want to finish the work = I want to finish the particular task/project/assignment.
I want to finish work = Much more general. It could mean that you want to be done for the day and go home.

What is the difference between "verko" and "laboro"?

Verko is an authored work, like a book or a play. Laboro is work. Verki => to author, verkisto => author Labori => to work, laboristo => worker

In Spanish, verko is la obra, and laboro is el trabajo.

Jes, "fini" jam estas transitiva."Volas finigi" signifus "want to cause to finish".

Mi pensas, ke Finigi estas pli bone ol Fini ĉi-kuntekste
