It isn't. koca is "husband." No one refers to their husbands as "adam." :)
Actually sometimes women call their husbands as "adam" and you can find this meaning of "adam" in Turkish dictionary. :)
Also, some women refer to there husbands as "their man" in English, so this is where we run into the problem. :) "adam" as a person you are married to can also be "man" in English :)
safe to say the language isn't as liberal in it's cross usage as in swedish or the germanic languages?
