Lost day count AGAIN
I am just going to have to forget about the day counter. I deleted my account and started over again. Finally everything was like it was before and working fine. Then it quit counting my days again. This is getting tiresome!
The thing is I was on Duo for a while the day before then I went on at about 11:15 p.m. so I wouldn't lose the count.........It had dropped to zero. Someone had said they might be using my account for testing......whatever that means. I think they pick certain people's accounts to test new things on and if they do it messes everything up. Last time I lost my lever indicator bar too. Oh well, I'm not dropping out and starting a new account this time. To heck with them. The main thing is to learn Spanish; I have to remember that. Oh, and they (Duo) won't help you AT ALL. They sent me emails that basically said, "That's too bad. Good luck". The fellow students like you, try to offer assistance. And I appreciate it so much.
Haven't switched time zones. The day count thing helped motivate me to keep at it. I guess I'll just have to ignore it since it seems to have a mind of it's own. BTW, thanks for responding. The language learners in Duo are supportive and so helpful.
Have you done anything different recently? It could be a bug. I recommend creating a similar discussion in the troubleshooting forums, and maybe somebody who runs Duolingo can help you out. Anyways, remember that while losing a streak is no fun, learning is the real accomplishment and not some number! Good luck :)
EDIT: The time zone your account is set to is the time zone you were in when you first created your account. So, if at any time (ever) you moved time zones, even just for a little bit, it may of thrown your account out of sync. If you have an Android phone, the mobile app will update your time zone automatically.
