Why is the subjunctive not explained?

In the Spanish from English tree, the Subjunctive is not explained anywhere. However, this seems like a fairly subtle thing (see for example here http://www.studyspanish.com/lessons/subj1.htm), so I guess it should be explained somewhere.

Are there any plans to add an explanation to the subjunctive (as well as some advanced grammar features) in the near future? If not, why?

Cheers :-)

P.S. thanks a lot Duolingo staff for creating such an amazing language tool!

I would suggest to have a look at Tolunayo's Spanish subjunctive of the day, where you can find useful examples.

Very much can be learned from immersion in the language, but I don't think the subjunctive is one of them, at least for English speakers. The concept is so foreign to most people that they can't pick it up intuitively.

I've written some things about the subjunctive spanishplus.tripod.com also I have done the patterns in part 4 of my Spanish video series although it might not make as much sense if you haven't seen the others but here you go: https://youtu.be/dawf0G87lO0

Well, they would probably need to have pages full of descriptions, examples etc.

I am posting a Subjunctive of the Day in the Spanish from English forum and I have kept going since June 19. There is still so much more to cover.
