Dutch is simplifying the English "be + ing" form : İ am eating == İ eat = İk eet.

For instance in French ; İ am eating = "je suis en train de manger" ~= İ'm in my way (train = railway) to eat.

So it's easier to say : İ eat = je mange = ik eet :)

What is the difference between saying"Ik eet". Sometimes its meant to be I eat and others its meant to be I am eating.
