Reverse tree completado! y oro!
It was such a great feeling to complete the Eng -> Esp tree but even greater finishing the reverse tree! I learned so many new words and also got a boost in confidence when I could complete entire levels by testing out using my first tree's knowledge. Took the progress quiz and scored a 4.2 and 4.4 so by no means perfect yet, but can't wait to get there! Major thanks to the Duolingo team for this amazing platform and the community for posting about so many great resources that helped complement my learning. I still haven't found a better resource than DuoLingo to learn a language.
My next goals are to get both trees golden, a 200+ day streak, 5/5 in progress quiz and to appear for the B1 Spanish certification exam. What do you guys suggest I should do keep improving?
Thanks for the support DL community!
Congrats! What tree would you say was harder, the original tree or the reverse tree? :)
The first tree was harder in the sense of memorizing so many new words and i was still understanding the grammar/rules of spanish. So i made a lot of mistakes and took longer to complete. The reverse tree had a very different challenge. I felt in the original tree i had a lot more of spanish -> english translations which many times i could guess and get away with. Reverse tree was much harder there because i had more eng -> spanish translations so I really had to learn to construct the sentences. It took a shorter time though because many topics I tested out of.
Summary: Original tree gives you the building blocks but the reverse tree really helps strengthen your grasp of the language. Plus the reverse tree does teach many new words so you shouldn't miss doing it.
I'm about to start my reverse tree, since I just completed the Spanish tree. I have the same question as "MissThorson", How much harder would you say the Reverse tree is?
BTW, congrats !!!
