Offline mode to count in a streak.

Hey there, Duodevs!

I went offline for a couple of days, practicing German in offline mode — boy, was I glad to see this working! — but coming back home, I see that my streak, and hence the wager I put on it, was lost. I'm not really boosted by diamond incentives, but, well, I'm still reporting what may be considered as a bug.

Oh, and by the way, great job for Duolingo. Great. flippin'. job.

Add me to the list of those that think that completing downloaded lessons offline should count towards maintaining your streak.

Has this been sorted out? I will be in Italy next week and do not want to lose my streak.

Add me to the list of people who think this needs fixing...

I’m pretty pissed off that as a Plus member I’m being asked for more money to record the work I’ve already done.

Really bad guys and this is five years later. Thoroughly pissed off.

Fix it now!!!

Hey cadilhac- thanks :) So, when you're in offline mode you have to reconnect for your work to be counted towards your streak. If you go offline for a few days, complete lessons every day in offline mode, and come back- we don't count that towards your streak :/

I think what Cadilhac means is that you should find a way to count that as a streak, which seems quite fair to me indeed...

We will honor that. Just taking a look on our side. Didn't want to leave Cadilhac hanging with no info.

Is there an update on this? I'm going to be without internet access for several days and want to know if I should bother playing in offline mode to continue my 140+ day streak.

Haha, t'es vénère parce que je t'ai mis ta race hein ? Boum.

PS: oui je parle comme un jeune des annés 2000 maintenant que je suis rentré en Europe

I would literally purchase Duolingo Plus for this feature (ie. download offline lessons that count toward and maintain your streak once you reconnect to internet). Seems obvious—please!
