A Zelda Fan's Paradise
I just wanted to say how much I love the fact that Duolingo reminds me of my favorite videogame series. I mean, just look at it. I have three hearts per lesson. I can buy heart potion. The lingots look just like red rupees from Skyward Sword. It's almost like I was meant to be here.
I have to mention A Link to the Past... because while Ocarina is the best, it owes it's existence to it's Super Nintendo predecessor. Twilight was also modeled after the same Light/Dark world setup.
As for my personal favorite, it's hard to say between Majora's Mask and The Wind Waker.
If you poke around Duolingo's HTML code, you'll see CSS class/id named like: .rupee-store-items, .icon-rupee-small, .num-rupees. I don't think it's such a stretch to presuppose that at one point in its development that Lingot used to be called Rupee, and who knows where that development codename comes from.
Oh believe me, I know. But the ones on skyward sword are like huge and almost roundish compared to the ones in the older games. That's why I said it looked like those, they have the same fullness instead of the sharp look that the ones in like ocarina of time and stuff had =)
I have 99 rupees right now ^^
I think I'd love somthing like that from the duolingo store ^^ https://img1.etsystatic.com/000/0/6507542/il_fullxfull.269211501.jpg
