Is there a "Level 26" Bug??

I love using Duo, yet there seems to be a bug or two.

Three times now I have completed a lesson and got a wonderful page that said "congratulations you've reach level 26". But then when I look at my settings, I'm still on level 25. Anyone else see this. Is this a bug or what?

Also, I can no longer tell how many points I need for the next level (26). What happened to that info?

Thanks if you have any answers!

It's a glitch. 25 is as high as the system goes. The levels don't really mean anything, but once you reach 25, you have run out of levels. Well done. You beat the owl.

Thank you! I didn't know that. I'm going very slowly, doing about one new set of words a week. I'm just at #3/7 for Present Tense Verbs. Nowhere near the end of the Tree. I thought those levels had meaning.

I do wish they did or that the "Fluency Rating" meant something.

Thank you everyone who responded and here's a Lingot for each of you

I suppose, having got past Level 25, you're technically Level 26 but since the the lessons in Level 25 are as far as it goes, there are no lessons as such in Level 26 to get you up to Level 27 - which doesn't exist as a group of lessons or a place marker?

If I'm reading your question correctly, the answer is no. There aren't any levels beyond 25 - there aren't even any charts that tell you how many points you'd need to advance between more levels. With as many points as I have in German, I'd be a level 54 or something, but as Luscinda says above, the levels are meaningless.

That's basically what I was saying. I'm just saying if you've passed level 25, you're not on 25 so you must be technically on 26 even if it contains no lessons. I wouldn't worry about it though. What I'm saying isn't that important or interesting.

Ok. Now I'm really confused. Been studying since posting question. Today I got same message but this time it said I've earned 26 Lingots for reaching Level 26. I checked my Lingots (I keep track for grins) and sure enough, I have 26 more than yesterday!

This is some kind of generous bug or glitch. Maybe I broke the system? I do each lesson over and over so I really know them. After nearly a year I'm only half done with the tree. Guess the Owl is confused too!

It's a bug - it's happened to me a few times before, and the lingots never stick.

Oh! So I should expect them to disappear? Wow! That's some bug or glitch! I better spend them quickly. Here, have one

Um, thanks - but I'm one of the last persons to whom anyone should give a lingot. Have it back - I have 7,561 already...
