German nouns

I'm learning german for a while now.I just found out about this website and so far it looks very good but I have a suggestion.

The german nouns in the "Words" tab should also come with their article because is very important to know them.

If you dont know the article everything will fall apart coz you will not know how to say correct, for example: "The potato is big"

You will know potato=kartoffel/is big = ist groß but without the proper article,it will not be a correct translation.

P.S. The potato=Die Kartoffel/(Pl) The potatoes= Die Kartoffeln

Mit freundlichen Grüßen,

There have been numerous complaints about this lacking. Hopefully this will be corrected by Duolingo.

Next time you have a question about your German course, please ask it on the German forum. Thanks.

I definitely agree with you about the article thing. It would be pretty nice to have the articles there, especially when you're just starting out.

It does say the noun gender in little print below the noun, though. It isn't quite the same as having the articles listed with the noun, but it did kind of force me to learn which articles were for which genders when I was just starting out.
