There are several references in the course to several books/movies/series etc. Most of you like to comment about those under the sentence discussions, and unfortunately sometimes we have to delete them because they clutter the discussion. Anyhow, let's play a game :) Write down all the sentences you think that is referring to something, and what it is referring to. And we'll see who is the best observer :) And of course there will be lingots as prize. Have fun :)
*kiş geliyor (winter is coming) - GOT
*aşk pembe bir pasta gibidir (love is like a pink cake) -a reference to a series of images by Andy Warhol http://www.timeout.com/london/art/andy-warhol-love-is-a-pink-cake
Uzun karanlık canın akşam yemeği or Uzun karanlık ruhun akşam yemeği.
(Someone better, please correct or confirm)
Edit: seems like it's Ruhun Uzun Karanlık Çay Saati (so tea-time is literally a time of drinking tea, rather than dinner time): http://www.dr.com.tr/kitap/ruhun-uzun-karanlik-cay-saati/douglas-adams/edebiyat/roman/bilim-kurgu/urunno=0000000418358
Also The English Patient (İngiliz hasta), You know nothing, Jon Snow (Hiçbir şey bilmiyorsun, Jon Snow), and Is Keyser Söze Turkish (Keyser Söze Türk mü?).
And I wonder whether "Beyaz kale" is supposed to be a Harold & Kumar reference.
These are really fun to find as I'm going through the tree!
