Moderators or a bug?
I was in quite a long conversation on my stream (I didn't mean to clog everybody's stream!) but that has disappeared. Also, I just posted something to all of my followers on my stream, but it is not there. I refreshed the page, but it is still gone. Has this happened to anybody else? Or can moderators delete discussions and posts?
Did you know that users taking part in a stream discussion are able to delete that discussion? Have you checked with other people whether they could have deleted it by accident?
Whoah - it wasn't like that before! Crazy! I guess I can go and delete all your stream comments, then... :D
EDIT: Actually, never mind. I can only delete comments that were posted on MY stream, not anybody else's.
Woah! I did not know that! Maybe I accidentally did... I don't know. I'm still confused.
Sorry for the confusion. You can delete things on your own stream and you can delete discussions that you started on some one else's stream.
Maybe you did it by accident or it is indeed a bug. Moderators are not able to delete anything in your stream. (And most probably wouldn't touch it even if they could)
Did you exit your stream too fast becuase if you did that's why it diden't load
Possibly... But the conversation should still be there, even if my comment isn't. It's very odd.
Good idea! I've logged in and out, but haven't re-posted anything. I'll try it again, if I decide I want to post what I did before.
Weird! Try refreshing cookies and trying a new browser. If you have a way to make a video of what's going on, I could watch it and make some more suggestions.
I don't think mods deleted your post, unless what you posted has something bad or offensive in it.
Sorry. I accedentally deleted the long conversation while trying to edit what I wrote, but the other stuff I have also had problems with. My stream won't post and I can't see what people are posting to me. Duolingo only emails me about my activity after I have seen It and responded to it.
That's totally fine! I'm not upset, just glad to know that it wasn't a bug. Thanks for the reply! :)
