What is a "reverse tree," and how do you do one?

The reverse tree is the opposite of the tree you're working on now. For example, if you are an English speaker, you are learning Spanish from English. The reverse tree would be to learn English from Spanish. The way you do it is to click on 'Add a new language' under your flag, then enter 'Spanish' where it asks you to identify the language you speak.

Not to worry: it's still there with all of your completed badges! Just repeat the process in reverse (click on your flag, enter the language you speak (English), and then select Spanish.)

Same thing happened to me just now. I clicked on the German to English course; aced it, but then couldn't get back to my regular classes! Don't panic, you CAN get back; I did but I'm not sure exactly what I did.. We need more help! BTW the woman speaks very unclear English, like from the boonies.

The process is straightforward. 1. click on the flag by your avatar and select 'add new course' 2. enter the target language in this space: 'I speak __.' 3. select the course you want to learn. 4. click on 'go to course' 5. then click on 'home' (top menu) Of course all of these phrases will be in language you said you speak. That's the only potentially confusing part.

Thanks Macjory for the clear steps. What I still am not sure of is how to get back to my regular menu ( from the German to English one) . I don't mind seeing everything in German, but it only showed one flag, the American one. As you can appreciate, I don't want to lose all the progress I've made since last year.

The reverse tree is to do your native language course for the speakers of your target language (your case would be the English course for Spanish speakers I guess). That's why it's called reverse haha

You just need to click on "Add a new course" and say that you speak your target language.
