Yeah, in my opinion, it sounds more nice than 'Ik wil'.

A bit like English, I suppose

  • I would like (Ik zou graag [...] willen or Ik wil graag)

Why does nothing go between the wil and the graag when it is written as wil..graag?

I think it's because it is a hint that consists of multiple words. It happens automatically.
