Didn't know learning can be this fun.

Well i am learning Spansih for three days now and i really like it, i am not so far but i think i am pretty good for beginner, in school I learn Italian, and i have D, I always hated learning languages cause I just can't remember things easy, but with Duolingo it is so easier and funny, I am really happy for finding this website. I hope that i will complete my Spanish tree, and start learning Irish.

It's amazing that you like this site! There will be days when you don't feel like studying, please don't give up! Somewhere in the future you will thank yourself for not ever dropping the course!

Good luck with your studies, I'm a native Portuguese speaker, so I can help you with many questions about Spanish, since they're very similar langauges.

You're absolutely right! Yesterday I stumbled over the simplest words and I started to wonder why I'm even doing this if I can't remember anything after 175 days.

Today, I breezed right through every lesson I came to. The translation magically popped into my head without much thought. The brain is a funny thing.

Some days I just don't want to do Duo Lingo, but every time I get started the fun returns.

It is a lot of fun to learn it here. You might try doing the Italian Duolingo tree to help reinforce what you are learning in school. I had German many years ago, and I plan on going through the Duolingo German course eventually to relearn it.

Nice! I am also working on my Spanish tree, though I'm pretty new to the site as well. Good luck with your Spanish and Irish!

Good luck. Maybe the teacher wasn't fun? I am going into my second year of Spanish and all the Italian I've learned is from on here. I'm starting French in school next year as well. I hope to start studying Japanese sometime also.

I studied Spanish with my teacher, but she left last year. There are no more Spanish teachers in my little city, so this site is very helpful for me. I registered here yesterday... Besides, I recommend you to study Spanish using some literature. Study hard but don't try to learn a lot of new material for one day. Good luck! ^_^

Same here - I got 10 spanish lessons as a gift and started here to get most out of them. The way the site is structures with nice theme-packages, lingot-rewards and those discussion-possibilities made me spend the entire evening here on this website tonight.

And a real ego-booster are the fanfare horns whenever I completed achievements ;-) Anyone happy to communicate in spanish with me is most welcome.
