Capital letters in the multiple choice exercises give away which word is the correct one

you should give all the options in lower case - this way the student will not know which word should come first in the sentence. Right now it is very easy to guess, especially if some sentences are only 1 word...!

I also think this is very annoying, but as course contributors we can't do anything about it, as Zmrzlina said – the wrong answers are randomly generated by Duo. I also don't think Duo staff reads the Swedish forums, but on the other hand if posts about this would be upvoted a lot in the general forums, they might be seen and considered.

I'm afraid we can do nothing about it the way courses are built.

All the courses I've seen do this. I REALLY wish they didn't. I know I've caught myself many times just automatically selecting the capitalized one without even reading the word. What's the value in that?

Oh developer/user divide - it really ought to be trivial for a DuoLingo developer to apply a simple function to each of the sentences in order to capitalize their first words before they are presented in those multiple choice lists. A single line of code would most likely do the trick.

I find it annoying too. But I always try to think of the sentence myself, first, before looking at the potential answers. That seems to work well for me insofar as retention is concerned.
