So is Esperanto on the app yet?

I tried the app a while ago and somehow as a knock on of it being an unsupported course I managed to change my settings to me speaking Norwegian (I think) and wanting to learn English. It was a fuss to change it back and now I'm a little gun-shy to just keep checking the app in case I do it again. So... Is Esperanto on the app yet? If not will I as an Eo course user get an announcement when it is? and If we've still got quite a wait is there an ETA?

Esperanto has been added to the iOS app, and other commenters have said it has been added to the Android one.

I just re-downloaded the app and it isn't. (I've heard it comes and goes as they're working on it.)

What platform are you using? The apps for iOS (Apple), Android and Windows phone are three different things that get developed separately.

I also have it on Android... I don't know if it's a by user setting (like an A/B test) or a bug... I'd keep the app and recheck each time it updates if I were you.

On Android, yes, I don't know about Apple. Which OS (Operating System) do you have?

Right I've solved it. I had been downloading it from the Amazon app store. Uninstalled that and got it from Google play directly instead and Esperanto's in there now. There's maybe a bit of a delay in them getting updates as compared to the main source?

That's what the people at Toshiba told me when my computer crashed after downloading the latest iTunes on a laptop less than 2 months old. When an update is released from a company (in this case Duolingo), they release it to their partner companies first before it reaches the users. In my case, Windows had a major software update, so they told their partner companies (ex: Skype) before it even reached me. Those companies recognized the update and updated their software accordingly. Apple (who owns iTunes), on the other hand, didn't recognize the update, causing my computer to crash. This seems to be the case with Duolingo as well, but not all companies have accepted the update.

The app (and Esperanto) for iOS works very well in my iPhone. — By the way, I type Esperanto with MessagEase Keyboard. MessagEase exists also for Android.

The Google keyboard includes Esperanto by default for people who just want a QWERTY layout. You may need to download it, though; my Samsung didn't come with it pre-installed.

Yes, I know that. The Google keyboard (Esperanto) works very well on my device, but — I prefer MessagEase Keyboard (Esperanto). :-)
