I hope I'm not mistaken, but when it asked me to translate this sentence from English into Norwegian, "resultatet" (definite form) was marked as a mistake. Which form is correct? Or are both possible?

"Prosjektet er resultatet av mange års [forskning/undersøkelse]." are the current accepted translation from ENG->NOR. Maybe you had a typo?

Hm, could be. So the definite form is definitely (hah) the right solution?

Yes, just as in the English sentence. Might it have been another sentence, perhaps?

No, I'm sure it was this one, I guess I overlooked something. Anyway, thanks for clearing it up :)
