I've seen et spebarn used for "baby/infant" as well, are they both correct?
'spebarn' is not in the Bokmål dictionary, but since the 'd' is silent, I would expect this to be an acceptable alternative to spell 'spedbarn'. But if you want to be sure you write correct, the 'd' should be present.
