The e-mail I got from Duolingo Incubator

I applied for English-Mandarin (simplified)contributor, and I got this e-mail this morning. From their polite and indirect lines I conclude that I failed to be a moderator.

You’re in line! Thanks for applying to the Duolingo Language Incubator.

Hi,

We’re excited for your interest in participating in this monumental project, and we wanted to give you an update on our progress. We’ve received thousands of applications, and today we started accepting a small number of moderators in a few select languages. We plan to get back to you over the next few weeks as we gradually add more languages, moderators and contributors.

Our plan is to ramp up slowly so that we can make sure we get this just right.

Thank you for all of your support and patience!

Can anyone share the moderator invitation? I'm so eager to see it!

I got the same email. Makes sense in my case. My (Japanese) skills became rusty after college. I'd still like to play a part before they've shined it for general consumption. I have nothing but time on my hands. :)

yeah, I also got this mail. When I first saw the subject: "You're in line! ..." I was so excited!! But when I started reading the message, I realized it wasn't an accept email (yet).

I did.

Since I'm a blogger, I kind of need to know if everyone who applied received this. Please respond if you didn't.
