Summer news: new contributors and a Christmas present
I hope you all have had a great summer so far. It's been quite a while since we last updated with some official news, but here it goes.
The Swedish course is now at 840k learners! That's more than what I had ever hoped for, and the immense interest shown and the friendly learners we have make me feel very privileged to be a contributor. (And it's more than Norwegian and Danish combined. En garde, Scandinavian siblings!)
As of recently, two more contributors were recuited for the team. They are hm1085 & cathmach. They're both native English speakers, something we've haven't had on the team yet, and we're very glad to have them on board. With their help, we can further improve the course beyond what us mere fluent speakers of English might be able to.
Also, that thing about Bonus Skills... Let's just say there might be a julklapp (Christmas present) or two coming your way. ;) Stay tuned!
Take care, be nice and happy learning everybody!

Thanks for this great course! It really helps me a lot in learning Swedish and I'm actually quite sad that I'm almost at the end of the tree and can't really imagine continuing learning with some other (most likely worse) resource.
That being said, since I am nearing the end of the tree, I see that there are a few topics which have no Tips and notes, like for example Act. Part. or Pass. Part. ... I hope you'll add those before you consider doing bonus skills. :)
Althought I certainly would not say no to more skills. There more the better ;) I'd actually be superhappy about a second Swedish tree that's just as long as the current one and continues were this one stops, haha. But of course this is too much to ask ;)
Thanks for your kind words. :) Regarding the tips and notes, we will write those too. But since this is volunteer work, it gets done when there's time and will for it.
I know, of course! Thanks for the work you guys are doing here! No need to rush and I certainly do not want to stress you guys! :)
Jag älskar svenska! I'm having such a great time learning Swedish with this course! Keep up the good work guys!
Hej, that's great news! Thank you very much. :-)
hm1085 and cathmach, it's nice to see you in the team. Greetings to you and the rest of the team. :-)
New skills are very exciting. Just in time for me finishing the tree too!
Can I suggest a pharmacy bonus skill as well? Stomach problems could mean nothing is happening or it won't stop. Hangovers, sore throats and cold remedies would be good too. Itching, rashes, bleeding and oozing. There's lots of vocabulary where precision is important.
We're already quite set about what bonus skills we're doing, and pharmacy is both a bit too general and a bit too specific I'm afraid. But I hope you'll like what's in store. ;)
Hey man, great news, also I've always wandered, what does your name mean? Has it something to do with frozen things, ice?
Haha, it made sense to me in Croatian, even though it doesn't mean anything, but the word it's made off is very similar to "frozen".
I was thinking about the same when I saw your nickname. 'Why the hell does this Stockholm guy have a Czech nickname?!' :D Greetings from a Swedish-learning Czech (you should start learning Czech definitely! :D )
I have never seen any tips and notes anywhere in the course, is there a reason? or is it a glitch or something wrong with my computer :-(
