Grateful for duolingo!!

I would like to share how grateful I am for duolingo. When reading some (SOME, not all) of the comments it saddens me to a point on the critical, sarcastic, and ungrateful things being said regarding duolingo. Constructive criticism and/or suggestions are always helpful in gaining knowledge and growth. However, it does no good, on any level, to create negativity.

Duolingo has freely offered me the opportunity to learn many new languages that will not only make me a better person but will add a measure of positivity to this world. It will open doors to more effective communication and understanding as English is not 'the one and only' language.

I would like to thank duolingo for creating a great and fun space to learn a new language. If this were not free I would not be able to, at this time in my life, take a class or purchase Rosetta Stone etc. This is an awesome gift. Thank you duolingo.

Yes, Duolingo is no doubt a wonderful gift! It is one of the only completely free language courses out there, and it is definitely very effective! :D More completely free language courses include ALISON, edX, and Coursera. They are very effective as well, however they are school courses:)

Duolingo is pretty much the only free Swedish language course I could find out there, Aside from memrise and learningswedish.se (I'm doing all three).

I'm trying to get at least a bit proficient in it before I start taking Swedish classes at my university, And this is most definitely working towards that. There are tons of helpful (and funny) comments during the Swedish course and I've gotta say, Although the pronunciation is difficult learning through duolingo is pretty fun. So I just gotta say, Tack så mycket Duolingo!
