The Fluency thing is nuts!!
Mine has been 2-3% the whole time. It has never been higher than 6%.
I not only finished my German tree but I also went back and made the whole tree gold and bought and did the two bonus skills too and it is at 5%
Someone explain that! My other languages have always been WAY higher numbers even when I don't touch them for many months. Makes no sense at all.
My Italian is curently 5%. That's with it all gold and I practice everyday. The other languages are less. I suspect it may be because I do all my practice on the app. I have a feeling the app doesn't push the percentage score up very much at all, I think I saw a comment somewhere where someone said when they use the app, their percentage score doesn't change.
Thank you, Thank you! I think you've solved the mystery. I only use the IPad app! Never used anything else. I tried timed practice today on the webpage in Spanish since the app doesn't have the option and with each exercise my fluency jumped a couple points just with each 30 sec exercise!
I think you can use the computer to do the duolingo. Then the fluency level will increase.
In my opion, the fluency level cannot measure the real fluent, such as speaking, listening, writing etc.
nope, my flamate ONLY uses the ap and hers says 50% fluent in German while mine says 44%, when she's half way through the tree and i've completed, and we've both got it all gold
I have the same percentage on every language, and that's not true >.< (except on Italian, in which I have 55%, I'm not even close to be more fluent in Italian that in English -> [47%]...)
It's a weird implement
I haven't finished even half of the French tree and mine is at 44%. I know for a fact that I'm that good.
It's very faulty, but if you actually tried your German on a native speaker and rate your difficulty/ease communicating, that would be more accurate.
I was thinking of going to France with my friend like, literally, 10 month ago! So i thought I'd learn a bit French however, the plan fell through so I stopped learning. I've been learning Norwegian for months but thought I'd have a look at how much French I remember and I did the Basics 1 again and then it told me I has a fluency of 14%!!!! I never even got past the Animals bit before and I haven't been on it in almost a year, it's crazy!
